Code of Conduct

The Nine United Code of Conduct must be signed by any supplier or subcontractor who manufacture products or provide services to Nine United. In doing so, they commit to uphold social, ethical and environmental responsibilities and to be audited accordingly. Our Code of Conduct follows The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, key UN conventions, ILO fundamental conventions and recommendations, OECD guidelines as well as the ten principles of the UN Global Compact.

In Nine United, we take pride in our values and the way we do business. Part of this is making sure that we always comply with laws and regulations and that we maintain a high level of business ethics and personal integrity. For this reason, we have formulated a Nine United Code of Ethics; a set of binding guidelines based on our 10 founding principles to help our colleagues better understand what is expected of them and how to behave when working in Nine United.

Greenhouse gas inventory

To understand our carbon footprint, identify emissions sources and prioritise reduction efforts, we conduct an annual greenhouse gas inventory of our companies. Each year, we expand the scope of screened companies as we strive for continuous improvement in our greenhouse gas accounting to ensure a complete and accurate view of emissions.

UN Global Compact

The Nine United family is a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary initiative based on commitment to implement universal sustainability principles and take steps to support UN goals. By participating, we commit to applying the UN Global Compact’s ten principles in our business strategy and operations as well as joining partnerships and collaborations to address those issues.

Whistleblower policy

At Nine United, we continuously work to create conditions that contribute to openness and trust in the way we run our business. Our whistleblower system provides a safe environment for our employees to express concerns about unacceptable behaviour and misconduct without fear of negative consequences. The system follows EU directive 2019/1937 and is hosted on an external, safe and anonymous cloud system which ensures that employees can report their concerns without having their identities revealed.

At Nine United, we take protection of personal data very seriously, and we have a strong focus on ensuring that our processing of personal data complies with personal data legislation. To ensure the best possible protection of personal data, we continuously assess the risk of our data processing activities adversely affecting individuals right to protection of personal data.
